History

Uch Sharif is a renowned historical town located in Tehsil Ahmedpur Sharqia of Bahawalpur District, Pakistan. It is particularly famous for the Mazar (tomb) of Pir Jalauddin Bukhari, which lies about 1 kilometer west of the town on a prominent mound. In the northern fields of Uch Sharif, there is a well known as "Sri Guru Nanak Sahib Ji's Well," commonly referred to as "Karrare Da Khooh." This well holds religious significance for its association with Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the founder of Sikhism. Additionally, it is said that the descendants of the Pirs of Uch Sharif possess five remarkable artifacts believed to be linked to Guru Nanak. These include a pair of his kharawan (wooden sandals), a biragan (walking stick used for resting), a pathther ka guraj (mace), two stone kangan (bracelets), and a small wooden boat measuring 1.5 feet by 1 foot. These relics add to the spiritual and historical prominence of the town.
