History
Gurudwara Pehli Patshahi situated in Guntur one of the major town in
Andhra Pradesh, visited by Guru Nanak Sahib. Gurdwara Guru Nanak
Sahib was built in the first half of the nineteenth century, to preserve
the memory of the visit of Guru Sahib.
Gurudwara Pehli Patshahi at Guntur was established in this city of
Andhra Pradesh, India, during the earlier part of the nineteenth
century to mark the visit of Guru Sahib to this city. Pehli Patshahi is a
term used for establishing the fact that the' first Guru visited this
place'. The term Gurudwara itself means the Gateway to the Guru,
which accomplishes the worship place of people of Sikh faith;
however members of all religions are welcomed with warm heart
without restrictions in terms of caste, creed, region or religion.
